Cooking Class (performance), They Died For Me (poem Recitation)
The Nozomi 1 Class will present a “Cooking Class” performance using home economics vocabulary they learned during the fall semester. The presentation will include some quizzes to see if students can follow a recipe correctly. They will not know in advance whether they will be making miso soup, yakisoba, or curry rice. Once their dishes are complete, instead of saying “itadakimasu”, they will recite Shuntaro Tanikawa’s poem “Shinde kureta”.
